I have a 2019 c28 and am experiencing loud creaking from the bulkhead especially on the starboard side behind the steering and control panel. Experience less noise on the port side. This gets very loud when boat rocks from side to side at stand still. Although very annoying I’m more concerned that this is a structural problem. Since boat is under warranty, what can be done to resolve this problem?

Mine does the same. I think it’s the wood trim flexing

Yep mine too

My boat isn't a Cutwater, I have an R29. I had a loud creaking sound whenever I took any moderately significant wave quartering on the port, fwd portion of the boat. After looking and looking...I found a place about 3/8" long that the cabinetry wood was riding on the fiber glass...I made a trim with a utility knife to clear it and my noise has gone away.

Maybe you can look for wood against the 'glass as well?

Just a thought.

I have a 2016 CW-28 and had the same noise when twisting in large waves. Went back to Bellingham Yachts and Mark their service Manager knew immediately what the problem was. He said it had happened on one other cutwater and it took them forever to find it.
It was the head rear bulkhead rubbing on the helm knee bulkhead. From in the head at the stern next to the starboard side just above the storage door, he cut out the caulking and then wedged a quarter down the crack. He had to tap it down in with a putty knife and hammer. He caulked it back up. Whole process took about 10 minutes.
I was skeptical at the time but it never made another squeak. Only downside: It was my quarter 🙁
I took a photo of the spot, now if I can figure out how to attach the photo. OK and can't see how.
I will put it in my photo album. Contact me if I can help.

This is a very common issue with CW 28's. It took two weeks and alot of money to partially take care of mine. Starboard side very loud, drove me crazy in a rolly anchorage. Fluid Motion spent a lot of time and money trying to fix this. also cost me over two weeks of precious vacation time. Still not totally fixed ,but now tolerable.

When we purchased our C26 and sea trialed it on Lake Michigan it was creaking loudly. The dealer told me the lake will cure that give it time. After the first season it quieted down some. After 3 years of running in the short chop waves of Lake Michigan, 2000 miles of the great loop and 4000 miles of towing it over the rough poorly maintained roads in midwest the noise is completely tolerable.

The bulkhead on our R27 was creaking while anchored over the site of the Civil War Battle of Allatoona Pass while watching a horror movie one night.......

Thanks everyone for your help, especially Crazy Heart. The area you show in your photos appears to be a source of the creaking. I will give it try and hopefully it will work. Also, bought some silicon spray that might lube some rubbing panels that can't be reached.

I just added one more photo to my album with a markup arrow showing the exact location that we inserted the coin.
I hop that helps. Seems a few have the creeking noise.
Crazy Heart.
