I an thinking of mounting a teak binoculars holder to the bulkhead wall beneath the wheel and instruments, and above the teak foot rest which runs across the helm area.
As it is not possible to through-bolt the binoculars holder since there is no access to the backside, I presume I will need to screw the holder into the bulkhead. Do you have recommendations about the length of the SS screws that I should use? Also, should I use plastic anchors to give the screws something extra to grab?
I'm also wondering about the thickness of the forward side of the bulkhead beneath the helm seat (which encloses the air conditioner unit). Can I assume it is the same as the bulkhead under the steering wheel?
Thank you,
Al
