C-24 steering issue

The boat is a C-24 with the Volvo Diesel D3 220HP I/O. I have a great deal of play / dead area in the steering of about 25-30 degrees. This make the boat extremely difficult to drive. The dealer was not successful in fixing the issue. What can be done?

Could you please let us know who your dealer is? I will contact them tomorrow to see what they tried to repair and what they found when test ran the boat.
