We have a 2016 C-26 we purchased in October 2016. We did our spring shakedown cruise for 2017 and deployed the anchor for the first time. We were surprised to see so much anchor chain. Short of playing out the rode in the dry-stack marina, what are the lengths of the factory installed chain and nylon line making up the rode?

The C28 comes with 50 ft chain and 200 ft of rope. The C24 comes with 15 ft of chain and 150 ft of rope.
On the Ranger Tug side, both the R27 and the R25SC come 50 ft chain and 200 ft rope. Suspect since you think it was a lot of chain you have the 50 ft chain and 200 ft of rope in your C26.

PS: We just replaced the chain and rope rode assembly on Our Journey with 5/8" X 200' NYLON 8-STRAND
SPLICED TO 5/16" X 50 GALV ISO WINDLASS CHAIN AND OPPOSITE WITH THIMBLE EYE SPLICE from Miami Cordage/ Florida Wire & Rigging Works for about $340 plus shipping. Shipping 75 pounds across the country wasn't cheap though!

My C30 came with 50 ft of chain and 200 ft of rope. I spray painted it with different colors of paint every 10 ft so I know about how much I have out. Once it starts playing out I had no idea how much was out(except at the 50 ft junction of chain/rope)

Thank you for the quick replies! So it is the 50' of chain and 200' of line that makes up the rode. We'll be playing it out and marking the chain rode so we can properly adjust the scope to the conditions.

That is correct. 50' Chain and 200' rode. On some newer models you might find a little more rode if you measure it out because we started to account for when the rode shrinks after hitting the water.
