I have a 2021 Cutwater C-28. My Remote when on has the Red LED blinking every second. Clearly it has lost connection to the receiver. I do have the Thruster main switch on, I do have the panel switch on (the one next to the Windlass switch). It was working fine, and then just stopped working on my last trip out. I was thinking it lost pairing from the receiver. I went into the cave, pulled the panel off, and found the receiver which is mounted high and unreachable through the cut-out. What I could see is there is no Green LED flashing when the panel switch is on and the main thruster power switch on. My assumption is the receiver does not have power, and that is the issue.
Is there a fuse I cannot find?
I think I see the red (+) and yellow (-) power wires that connect to the receiver, just don't know how I am going to get at them with a meter to check voltage.
Any ideas on how to access the Side-Power Receiver to diagnose?
I have to say that it is a poor position to put a receiver that needs access for pairing. Why was it not just bolted on the outside of the access panel or behind the mirror in the head?
When it was working, I now know why it loses pairing at critical moments, the antenna is pointing down parallel and behind 3 or 4 thick positive power cables, I am sure that is why it loses connection due to interference in that crammed space.
