C-288 starboard windshield wiper

My windshield wiper on the starboard side goes well past the normal limits, eventually hanging up and getting stuck. Unfortunately this makes it difficult to see out of the windshield in the rain from the helm.

Any repair suggestions would be helpful. Also what are the part numbers to replace the windshield wiper assembly

Hi Ed,

That's fortunately an easy thing to fix. You can simply remove the wiper arm at the motor (windshield bottom), rotate it one spline inboard (toward the center post) and reattach. That should give you enough clearance so that it no longer jumps over the windshield side. As for the part numbers, the motor is an Imtra part, number RC 533021. The arm is Imtra part number RC 538324, and the blades (22") are Imtra part number RC 520922. Hope this helps.

If you remove the cover on the wiper box you will find adjustment for how far the wiper travels.
