When connected to shorepower will the engine heater provide heat without the engine running. That is the heater that is controlled by the switch at the helm.
 
No, that heater uses engine coolant circulating through to generate heat. Without a hot engine pumping coolant through it will just blow ambient temp air. We use a plug in electric heater or the diesel heater when on shore power.
