Subject: Cockpit table stability on my R-27/OB
I knew from the beginning that the slender single pedestal for the cockpit table offers little stability even when securely seated; pedestal to the floor bracket and table pushed down firmly into its taper holder.
For past few days I tried to live with its constant wobble and have become frustrated with it as drinks especially will spill and things will move about whenever someone places their hand of elbow on the tables edge.
This aspect has been discussed elsewhere here and some have offered/shared what they've done to fix this issue.
This person will now lean on those posts for advice to once and for all resolve this problem for me and my passengers.
I will be following the same installation that Brian Brown posted here http://www.tugnuts.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10951&p=76113&hilit=Garelick#p76113 - that is purchasing the Garelick/Eez Table Pedestal. Amazon appears to be out-of-stock for this item (the $82.15 one here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00144732Y/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1) at this time so will look elsewhere or wait for Amazon to restock. Alternatively I could spend $128.16 to get this one (exactly same as for the $82.15 one) on Amazon which is in stock - https://www.amazon.com/Garelick-Eez...pID=317ir79VCdL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch.
I also note that Discount Marine Supplies.com has this same Garelick 75640 Quick Release Table Pedestal system in stock for $74.78 - Internet shopping is wonderful.... 😀 - http://www.discountmarinesupplies.c...MI7aqGxb6k2wIVFsNkCh3vGwUfEAQYBCABEgJGM_D_BwE
There isn't anything more annoying than a wobbly table, or is there ?
