I can't seem to figure out how to link up the Garmin and the Fusion stereo on our brand new R29CB. The brochure reads that you can control the stereo through the Garmin. Anyone?

Assuming your Fusion stereo has been installed correctly then it should be communicating with your Chartplotter via the NMEA2000 network. If so, control is via “HOME” then choosing from the right side menu “ONEHELM, AV, GAUGES” then “Media” from among the icons in the screen.

Thank you for the replies. Yes I had done what was mentioned. The Fusion does not show up as a device under Media and I can't figure out how, either using the Fusion or the Garmin, to have each device recognize the other. I know that I can start making calls or contact the factory, but thought I could sort this out myself. Any other ideas?

Hello,

As stated above you must access the media tab first in order to turn on and use the stereo head unit via the plotter. Even if it is not on it will say "media device turned off" and has a power button on the screen to turn on. If you continue to have difficulties feel free to email me direct and I could send you a video.

Thanks,
Kevin Lamont

Is the rest of your NMEA2k network working correctly?

Thank you. I had already done what you said, but there was no Fusion unit listed in the media tab. I will be at the boat in the next couple of days and re-check. If I run into trouble, I will e-mail you.
