Is the refrig on the 28 a AC/DC model? I don't see a switch for the refrig on the panel and when isolating the batteries the only way I can get it to work is by running off the house battery. It won't run on shore power....

Thanks for any insight.

I have the C28 "brochure" model built 12/2011. It is DC only, but with the solar panels and house battery on I keep the Frig going full time and the battery never drains here in MD.

FYI, the other month it did quit. Pulled it out and found a poorly done wire connector. It wasn't off, but as I wiggled wires one just came off. Problem solved.

The refrigerator is only a 12 volt appliance. It is tied into the house battery bank and will only operate with the house on.

Hi Ronnie

My regrig runs all the time even with the house bank off; thus draining the batteries. The only way to truly shut it off is inside the refrig. Maybe I can have you take a look when we are at the rendevous 🙂

At the very least, you should have a dedicated breaker for the refrigerator. The odd thing is it should be on the 12v house panel which gets shut off by the house battery switch.

Thanks for the reply! There is no dedicated breaker for the refrig on the panel. I had a guy working on the batteries and disconnecting was the only way to isolate.

Appreciate the feedback....

There is a fuse for the refrig in the fuse panel behind the dash. This is located on the house side. I can look at it at the rendezvous.
