I just donated my cutwater hat to the waters of the Columbia river. My tugnut hat met the same fate a few weeks ago. And no, l obviously don’t learn from past mistakes. Is there a method for obtaining replacements, preferably one that does not involve driving to the Seattle boat show again

Hey neighbor, getting a replacement with a new boat on order should be easy. Here's a suggestion from my experience.
I put my third hat on backwards. As an additional benefit, I noticed people get out of my way a little quicker.

Thanks, got 1 on order

I always get out of Rich’s way when he’s coming down the dock with his hat on backwards!!

Sounds like a reasonable response

Thanks everyone, Brian Brown of PORT-A-GEE got me two replacement caps and Amazon donated cap lanyards, so I’m set. At least until I do something else stupid. 😀
