Ok. So, I was fueling up at our marina on a busy day (lots of wake), and the starboard bow rail caught the top of the rubber bumper material on one of the dock pillars. I’ve attached a photo of the damage. Any clue how to bend this back in place and make it look new?

Bend the port side the same, and it'll look like a design feature!

Just kidding, of course. I hope you find a way! 😀

If it was me I would take two pieces of 2X4's and sandwich the bent rail between them, using C-clamps tighten till straight. Being carefully not to flatten the rail during the process.
Good luck Bob

I doubt bending will work. A good welder can cut out damaged section and weld in a new piece. You'll never know it happened.

If bending back doesn't work another ideal is to order some folding swivel coupling tube pipe connectors from Amazon or your marine supplier. Sea-Dog makes some really nice looking ones.
Then cut out bent section and replace yourself total cost would be about $50 and if you can turn a allen wrench and operate a hacksaw it a DIY project. Bob

Thanks, all!

I would call a machinist who works with 1" stainless tubing in marine applications and have him come to the boat and give me a fix plan and a price to do it.

Also important, watch for leaks now. With that much of a bend something had to move. The bedding for the posts my have become compromised and have to be reset.
