Extending Volvo penta warranty

I am the recent second owner of a 2019 c28 and have been getting conflicting or wrong information as to whether I have to do anything to get the exerted warranty transferred to me. There is one year left on it. I called the Volvo sales office and they referred me to a distributor in Alaska after I told them that I was in port ludlow Washington. Will someone please advise me on this. Thanks

Hi Norm,
We went through the extended warranty transfer when we bought our 2020 R29 from our friends and original owners in the winter of 2021. I worked with Volvo Penta Customer Relations to get the warranty transferred. I had to give them the bill of sale and address, after initially giving them the engine serial number and manufacture date.
