After purchasing our R29 the Covid hit and this last weekend was our first real trip out. We took my wife’s brother and his wife and found that traveling with four is not to bad. We left Friday and returned today (Monday). We made a small loop leaving Twin Bridges and headed to Roche Harbor for our first night. Our second night was a short shot spent on my friends dock in Reid Harbor on Stuart Island. He has 40 acres and seven beaches stretching through Johns Pass. From Stuart we next went to Sucia and were lucky enough on a Sunday night to get dock space. Met a nice couple from Oregon on the other side of the dock in a Cutwater. Then back to Twin Bridges, we had no problems other than I heard my bilge pump come on for a few seconds every couple hours. After trouble shooting my brother in law found the leak with a small amount of water entering through the water intake between the nut and the hull so I will replace the fitting or try to figure out a gasket to fix the problem.
Lots of boaters out over the weekend, think my next trip will be during the week.
