Anyone know how to remove the wood floor in the 26/28? Is it just glued down or are there fasteners? I need to remove the floor panel below the helm. I have a fresh water leak that is probably either the pump or a hose. I lost a full tank of water over a few hours, but it only appears to be leaking when the house battery is on.. I hear the pump come on quite a bit even when there is no water being used. Thanks.

Why remove the wood floor, is it damaged?

I don't leave the fresh water pressure on unless I need fresh water. It should leak into the forward bilge. I suggest it's a clamp, hose or faucet leak. My metal hose to my faucet had a leak but obviously it only leaks when the faucet valve is on.

Also have a shore water issue I can't resolve so I don't use shore water.

The plumbing on my RT25C is simple but damn hard to get to. Most of my pluming is in the starboard cabinets and behind the heater under the helm platform. All of my faucets and shower head are American Standard RV fixtures.

One other possibility is the pop in fittings on the pump, they might be cracked.

No damage to the floor. The owners manual shows the pump in that area. Is there an access panel to get to it? I haven't figured out how to get to it or the water tank for that matter.

There will be a way to access, you do not need to start cutting up your boat just yet.. Someone has been there and will direct you. Mine is not a Cutwater so I am no help.... Other then to tell you to put the saw down..

Good luck hope it is easy.

I have a C28. The access you seek is via the cave. You will want to remove the forward panel in there and you will have access to the pump.

Thank you! I never would have even thought to look there. I hope there aren't any bats or skeletons down there.
I've only had the boat since July so I know nothing about working on it.

Learning is part of the fun, right?! We bought our C28 new last summer and it didn't take long to feel overwhelmed. It's crazy how much they can pack into a boat this site. But, this community is great and has helped me learn a ton about it. I'm definitely more confident with things now. Welcome to the Ranger/Cutwater family!

Removal of the water tank bulkhead is necessary to check for leaks or repair fresh water pump. This is a Pic of the water pump location. The pump is behind the water filter that I installed.

I made a excess panel for easier accessibility to pump and filter.

Awesome. Pictures are a big help. Now all I need is TIME to work on it.
