Upon engine start received a fuel sensor fail warning. 5’th warning over the years. R&R sensor 2 yrs ago ops checked good till now. Shutdown rebooted , restarted with no warning engine ran 3.5 hours no repeat. Any ideas or check to run?
Thanks,
George

Are you on the hook or connected to shore power when this happens? I also have a 2016 C-30CB with the D6, and I had this problem (same error, water in fuel sensor etc.) when I would stay out on anchor and my engine battery would some reason appear low and I’d have trouble starting the engine, and it would throw this false fuel sensor warning. I discovered after much research that my engine battery was not properly sized for the engine. It was one of the Universal Battery Group 31 AGMs, but they are only 550CCA, where you really need 950+ for that engine. Since i swamped the engine battery, i have not had this error appear and I no longer have issues starting my boat after a night or two on the hook. Not sure your issue is the same but worth considering.

Thank you DB,
I was at slip without shore power.I shut down after a slow start, turned off all power to boat-batt switch, then connected shore power. Prior to start and after normal start no warning was indicated and ran fine for the rest of the day.
I normally start at slip without shore power just on batt to ensure there is enough juice for start. I will look into batt situation on Thursday, sounds like a possible issue. Original batt since 2016. Did you switch just start batt or entire house?
Many thanks,
George

All of my batteries were updated by the previous owner in 2020. I swapped out the engine battery for an optima group 31, 950CCA.

Thanks DB,is that an AGM battery?
