Anyone know the manufacturer or part number of the cap that unscrews from the top of the black water holding tank? I have a C28 but I expect the tank/cap would be used on other models. Any suggestions to find a replacement cap would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Glenn

Call Ranger parts. They use fishery supply for many items. You can also go on line to their catalog. Or call them. They are very accommodating. As an aside I always carried spare PVC plugs/caps in the event of a loss while traveling. I cant remember the exact size now, I think it was either 1-1/4 or 1-1/2.

On my R25sc, the cap is 1.25 inch. Get a PVC threaded plug at the local ACE for about $2. Not pretty but very functional.

Hi sierracierra,

We would not have that part number, as that cap is not a part that we buy separately, but comes with the tank from the vendor. The holding tank in your boat was made by Custom Roto Molding. You could contact them for a replacement, but it would probably be a lost easier to follow tlkenyon's route and get one from the local hardware store. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ralf

Thanks Ralf, I'll see what the tank manufacturer can do.

Ok I'm in a similar boat on this - when we were getting pumped out over the weekend, the dock hand set our silver waste pump out cap on the dock, then kicked it into the water.

Possible to order a replacement for this?

Thanks!

Water / Waste Cap. part number 88376-2 for about $9 from Ranger Tug.

In Tugnuts, there's a parts ordering form available for all the current Ranger Tug models.

I ordered a spare right after I got our boat. I keep a handful of spare things on the boat (such as fuses, SAN tank cap, bow thruster shear pin, windshield wipers...) I figured at some point, the SAN tank cap would end up in the water.
