I took delivery on a new 2025 RT27OB this spring and the Ultraflex hydraulic steering feels off. No air in lines detected. Auto-pilot steering works great. No kinks in lines. Yamaha 300 moves freely. Steers as expected, without binding, at dock. Underway, however:
1. Requires muscle to turn left.
2. Turning left has a pulsing level of increasing and decreasing resistance every 2-3" of wheel movement.
3. Holding bow against a left crosswind uses about a quarter turn of wheel movement per minute due to some kind of slippage.
4. Turning left, initially, there is a stop that must be overcome. No such issue turning right.

Anyone else seeing issues like this? My marina is about a 2 hour drive from my dealer that won't send a tech out on house calls, unfortunately.

Turning to the port is always going to be a little stiff while underway, but having it stop is unusual. I would recommend the dealer taking a look at it.

After consulting with Uflex tech support, it appears full down trim with RPM 1000-2000 was to blame. With trim at midrange, the symptoms were much less pronounced.
