Subject: Ideas to avoid losing items out the port-side Nav window ?
I'm looking for ideas to avoid losing items out the port-side Nav window on my new 2018 R-27 w/F300 (R-27/OB)
The shelf surface directly in front of the port side Nav seat and behind the chrome grab bar is smooth and there's really little to stop items on this surface from sliding out toward port and out the window when opened.
On the R-27/OB prototype RT had installed a small teak strip on the port side edge of this shelf which presumably was to catch and avoid items from sliding off the shelf and out the open window. I'm told this teak strip is no longer being installed.
So, I'm left with having to devise a solution similar to what RT had come up with on their R-27/OB prototype.
I suspect a similar issue is present on the R-29S but to a lessor degree as the shelf is a different shape with the chrome grab bar sunk at the shelf's leading edge.
If you have a suggestion for this issue I claim for the new R-27/OB please post back. Thanks.... 🙂
