Kicker

I own a 2019 R-23OB. I want to put a kicker on it. It has the installed motor mount on the swim platform. I’m not sure of the references for measuring shaft lengths. Will a Yamaha 15hp long shaft (20”) work, or do I need a 25” shaft. I ask because a local dealer has a new 2021 model that they are willing to sell cheap. Thanks.

We’ve only installed 9.9 hp kickers, and those have used a 20" shaft. We haven’t mounted a 15 hp on an R23 swim step, so I can’t confirm fitment, but a 20" shaft may work.
