Fellow Tugnutters
Barbara and I are thinking about driving Tugnacious up to Lewiston in late August and making the long trek down the Snake to the Columbia, ending in Portland. We would fly back to Lewiston to retrieve the truck and bring it down to Portland. The idea is to then head up to the Rendezvous to visit with the Tugnut crowd September 6-8 and visit friends in the San Juan Islands. We want a River-Horse adventure that fits the R-27.
There are some older posts on this kind of trip, but we are seeking any more recent beta that others might have. We know there is no diesel at the marina in Lewiston (no problem since we are trailering). But are there issues with the locks, anchoring, places to get off the boat and mess around (wine country!), number of days, etc. Any thoughts welcome, and feel free to PM us if you like.
