Low Water Pressure in Head

The water pressure in the head is so low that the shower cannot be used...comes out as a drip and the head itself has to have water added by hand before it will flush. Any ideas on how to correct the problem would be appreciated.

It sounds like two different water issues. For the head (toilet) is your water supplied from lake water pickup or from your fresh water holding tank? If it's the lake water sea strainer then you should check the sea strainer to see if it may be clogged and clean as necessary. Obviously if it is this would affect your engine water flow. If your toilets water supply comes from your fresh water tank you might want to check the filter on the end of the fresh water pump to see if it needs cleaned. By the way how is the water flow in the galley sink?

For the head sink faucet you should unscrew the faucet head from the flexible metal hose and turn the water pressure on to see of you have flow. If so then you need to take the faucet apart and clean the little filters from deposit build up.....I just had to do this with my galley faucet today.

Thanks for the suggestions...Il check it when I get home this weekend. The water works fine in the forward V berth sink, the cabin sink, and the cockpit sink (thats a lot of sinks)

The most likely cause appears to be when the boat was shipped from CT to TN that the discharge hose from the pump became loose. What started as low water pressure in the head eventually became a complete loss of water pressure. The Cutwater factory was outstanding in helping with the trouble shooting. The panels in the quarter berth were removed, the offending hose was reconnected (and an extra clamp added). Water pressure was restored.
