We just received an email from Ray Giometti, manager at Fishermen's Terminal, and he said we won't be able to have our mini-cruise over Memorial Day weekend. He has too many cruise ships coming in and there won't be any dock space.

Ray stated that June, July, and August are all open. Fourth of July weekend was brought up, but we think this might be a very busy time with boating traffic going through the locks for the fireworks display in Lake Union.

Does anyone have any suggestions about when we should have our mini cruise?

All the best. Happy New Year.

Bob and Nita

Bummer, I loved that event both years since it was so much fun and a wonderful start to the summer 😀

I don't have any suggestions, but am confident something will work out, because you both are wonderful planners and organizers.

Thanks for all your efforts on this cruise :!:

I have not been able to attend previously so I don't rate a vote but what about an end of summer boating cruise after the boat traffic is down through the locks?

I am thinking we will have the Mini Cruise over the July 4th weekend. I talked to Fishermen's Terminal and they said the boat traffic should not be too bad because most of those outside the locks go the Elliott bay to watch the fire works. We will see what transpires between now and then. Let me know your thoughts. It might be fun to be in Lake Union for the fire works.

Bob,
Becky and I would love to go over there for the fourth. Count us in.

Northern Comfort, Doug and Betty can make it on the 4th if it gets set up. I think the wooden boats show might be that weekend on lake union too.

Hi Bob and Nita,

Donna and I would like to come along. We could get our first locking experience. Thank you for organizing this.

Best wishes,

Jeff and Donna

Doug and Betty of Northern Comfort mentioned in this thread that the wooden boat show will occur over the 4th of July weekend. This is an additional attraction.
Bob

Bob & Nita,
Robyn and I would like to join the festivities over July 4. Of course, we'll be bringing Jack and Marty, also. That should be a great time to meet. As the plans are developed, keep us in mind to lend a hand.

Considering we are six months away from the Mini Cruise and we have ten of us already wanting to attend, I think this event will be another success. Again the event will occur over the three day weekend of the fourth of July. I will start tomorrow to seek contributions for a drawing for the event like last year. We were able to give a gift to all who attended in a drawing, and a coupon worth ten dollars toward the first nights moorage. There will be a new scavenger hunt this year along with a map showing the places of interest in the lakes.
Bob

Nudibranch will plan on experiencing the fireworks on Lake Union this year.
Ray, Jocelyn, Brenna and Lilly

Sweet Pea and crew would like to join you. First time through the locks, hope we can meet up with a few tugnuts for the crossing!

Hi Bob and Nita,

Sorry we didn't get a chance to talk much at the Boat Show. Richard and I would like to join the group at Fisherman's on the 4th. Can you add us to the list? Also, please let us know if the is anything we can do to help.

Thanks,

Claire and Richard

Looked at the calendar and the 4th of July weekend works for us! Count us in and please let me know if there's anything I can do to help out with the planning! Fireworks on Lake Union sounds devine!

Bob & Nita,
Although we are months out, for planning purposes, Robyn and I expect to arrive on Thursday, July 3 and leave on Sunday the 6th. As I said before, let us know if we can be of assistance. I'll be glad to help with "locking", if needed.
