No signal/power to starboard cockpit or bridge speakers

So, on my C30CB the Fusion system sounds great - from the speakers that are working, which are the port cockpit and bridge speakers. No issues with the interior cabin speakers. Checked the balance and that was an even split between L and R. Tested the speakers and they work - on my home system. No corrosion @ terminals. It's almost like the wires were never attached to the receiver. The area behind the Fusion unit is a rats nest of wires, so no luck finding the suspect speaker wires. I am at an impasse - anyone else have a 50% speaker problem? This would be a good time for some factory clues.

The speaker wires are connected at the head unit, sometimes it helps to remove the screws that hold the head unit in place. This will allow you to pull the head unit out and gain more access to the wires. Hope this helps you.

On my C30 I lost the port cockpit speaker sound. Pulled the speaker off, reached into the opening in the gunnel area to trace the wires, and found a speaker pigtail, which was connected to factory wiring, to be corroded and severed. No proper heat shrink connectors were used. Just electrical taped and wire nutted. I cut the rotted area off and used proper heat shrink, hot melt connectors. All is good now. Maybe you should try to trace your wires backwards to see if all connectors are good.

this was my 2 cents to a similar problem on an R23.

“I’m not sure what the audio equipment is on your R23, but on my C30 there’s a separate amp that drives the cockpit and foredeck speakers. The salon and forward cabin speakers are driven by an amplifier built into the main head unit. The right and left channels from the head unit to the external amp are delivered via RCA cables/plugs. One possibility is that one of those cables is loose or disconnected. In the rat’s nest of wires behind the head unit that’s a fairly common occurrence. Further, there are left and right channel speaker wires from the external amp going to the speakers themselves, one of which may also be loose or disconnected. Lastly, you may have a bad amp. That happened to me and Fusion replaced it under warranty.

Your bridge speakers are equivalent to my foredeck speakers. Suspect you have something going on with your external amp or its connections.

Thanks guys for the clues to tracking down the problem. I pulled the Fusion unit out to have better access to the rats nest and found an unconnected RCA connector. I plugged it in and finally had sound from the formerly silent speakers.
