Pro Mariner TruePower Combi Replacement

My 2015 R31-CB (luxury edition) inverter/charger no longer works properly and I believe is out of warranty. Would someone from the factory suggest a proper replacement for this unit?? Also, can you quote me a price for this replacement?

Hello,

I'd stay with Pro Mariner as apposed to switching brands. That'll make the install straight forward when you put the new unit in.

At the factory we don't stock the Pro Mariner Combi units but if you're in Redmond, Fisheries Supply would be a good resource to purchase a new unit. They're located on North Lake in Seattle. Here is a link to their website, www.fisheriessupply.com

Xantrex has an almost identical version. What I like about the Xantrex is that you can program the transfer switch not to go on if you lose power. http://www.xantrex.com/power-products/inverter-chargers/freedom-hf-newgen.aspx This particular model goes up to 1800 watts. They may have larger in pure sinewave. You may have to do a little research to go larger with Xantrex.

We had the Pro Mariner Combi 1500 in our R25sc. It was giving us trouble so I switched it to a Xantrex Freedom X 2000 and we are very happy with it. It fit in the original location and the wiring was similar enough to be a straight forward install. I was even able to use the original data cable to mount the remote panel at the helm, so no wire fishing. It is a pure sine wave inverter, so our microwave works on it without complaint; we just keep an eye on battery level on the BMS and then let the solar top the batteries back up.
