Hello all,
I have a 2010 R29 Classic with a Yanmar 6BY260 engine. The present prop is: 18” diameter / RH / 3-blade / 17” pitch.
Since I’m not getting full rpm (3800 instead of 4000) and running hot, I’ve been recommended to reduce prop pitch. Some questions to you wise folks:
1. What is the factory specified prop size and pitch? Does anyone know what they have on this type of boat?
2. When putting prop back on. Are there specifications on how tight to do the nut? Anything else I need to know before taking off or putting on prop?
Thanks for any feedback!
