The right burner functions great.
The left burner is difficult to ignite and once it is going will only function if you hold the control knob in. If you release it the burner goes out. Held it in to see if maybe there was a thermo-couple that had to get hot....but no success.
Any thoughts?
Jeff

Sounds like you have a bad thermocouple that needs to be replaced.

each of the burners have a thermal coupler. It sounds like you have one that needs to be replaced.
what year is your 28

ronnieg: Does the factory stock these thermal couplers for providing customers with spares ? Thanks... 🙂

Sounds like a good excuse to eat out.
Now that's an excellent excuse. 😀

Thanks for the many replies.
Ronnie, the boat is a 2014 Cutwater 28.
Sounds like the consensus is a thermocouple....will have to investigate removeal.

Jeff

We do not have any thermal couplers in our inventory. The would nave to be purchased thru the vendor

Thanks Ronnie

Thanks so much for the link.

Took the burner apart. Did not really see anything obvious, but took some fine sandpaper to the thermo couple tip and was successful in keeping it lit. The igniter is a little shakey...intermittent at times, but will swap batteries and see if I have a weak one. Thanks for the info.
