I just finished a galley modification for my R23. I have a shelf behind the sink and stove. The rack holds plates, bowls, cups, coffee press and coffee pot, and spices, plus other things.

I wanted to keep the counter as clear as possible but have access to all my kitchen things. It took me a long time to come up with this design. I had to make templates for templates because each piece was a custom fit, and didn't want to waste good wood or drill more holes than needed.
The wood used is Padauk and Maple. Ship n' Shore oil.
My next modification is to put drawers into the cabinet.
