R31 2016 Cockpit Speaker Mounting

One of my spade terminals corroded off a cockpit speaker.
Attempting to pull the speaker to repair or replace.
I don't see how they are mounted.
Best method of removal?

For the Fusion speakers in the cockpit on my boat (R31 2019), the covers twist off, much like the lid of a jar. No hardware involved. As I recall, Iit comes off after only a partial turn (to the left?). If yours is stubborn, get something that will give you a good grip (like tacky fingered gloves, or a round rubber jar lid opener) to give you some extra purchase, which should help. Good luck!

Once you twist the cover off, they are held in place by screws directly into the fiberglass. I recently changed both cockpit speakers in our R-29.

Thank you, they were tight but a little liquid rollers, gloves and knowing how they come off saved me from breaking anything.
