Can someone tell me what changes were made when the RT41 was renamed RT43? Was the hull on the current model actually lengthened? Was there a power or any other significant changes?

As far as I can tell the dimensions of the hull are exactly the same. The engines on the 41 are twin Volvo Penta IPS 400's and on the later model (now called the R43) are twin Volvo Penta IPS 450's

Also, I think they added a quick change system for changing the oil on the engines and generator. Also moved the propane tank from the rear swim step area onto the flybridge.

Thanks. I am surprised by the power change. I would have thought the IPS 400s would have provided lots of power.

This was posted on the R41/43 Facebook page. Don’t know if correct or not.

I know that they are powered by different engines and the pods of the 43 can be serviced while in the water while the 41 needs to be pulled out. I think they adjusted the swim step as well. Besides that I am not sure.

I don't post here often, but I think I know the answer to this question. I believe Fluid Motion extended the "transom pod" (under swim platform) by two feet, therefore, the waterline length changed from 41' to 43'. The LOA remained the same, 47'. The change occured with the 2021 model. This modification improved buoyancy in the stern, reduced splash over the swim platform and improved planing characteristics. There may have been some theoretical improvements in fuel efficiency but that's hard to tell since they also changed from IPS 400 to IPS 450 in 2021.

All other changes mentioned in this thread also occured, but the extended transom pod accounts for the extra 2 feet.
