I'd be willing to bet the last three numbers in the price are "937" 😛

I agree and also wonder if it will be 6 digits or more.

Hope now it's time for the Cutwater 34, LOA 37, Beam 12 🙂
You'd sell a ton of them replacing the Sabre 36 with a flybridge which is no longer in production
Don't force those of us seeking more room out of the family!

I see that Ranger Tugs is exhibiting at the Seattle Boats Afloat show next month (9/13 - 9/16) on Lake Union (Seattle). Will you have an R41 on display?

I was curious as to how the Volvo IPS system works, I found this video that shows it in action. Pretty cool stuff,

Wonder why the boat isn't on the factory website yet, I saw it listed on a dealer's site.

You can also see the R41 in action in this video posted to the Facebook Tugnuts page (at the 9 minute, 10 second mark). Part of the video shows the R41 docking in a rather impressive display of IPS maneuverability.

The Volvo IPS is amazing, we have it in the Sabre 66 I build. It allows one person to dock/undock a 66 ft boat in complete safety. There is a docking/hold function and it will hold the boat in the same position, within 10". We have an owner who uses his boat to commute to work, he fires up the engines, puts the boat in hold mode, unties all the lines, releases it from hold and off he goes. When he gets to his destination, he docks it, puts it in the hold mode, ties off all the lines then gets back on the boat and shuts it down.
I believe the 'dock' function is an option with the IPS system and looking at the boattest.com article I didn't see the 'dock' function button on the joystick. I would be curious to see if the 41 had it, or if it was an additional cost option.

Not sure what you mean by "dock function". Volvo Penta has introduced a sensor supported self-docking capability. It relies on sensors installed by marinas to specific slips. Looks cool. Here's a VP promo video.

Based on your description you may be talking about dynamic positioning. This is the function which holds the boat's position. That is available on the R-41 as an option. It's a software upgrade.

Cheers,

Bruce

"Dock function" was my name for it, I believe you are correct, "dynamic positioning" is the function I was referring to.

Dynamic positioning is a great feature. I periodically deliver boats from Lake Michigan to a marina on the river 65 miles down stream for winter haul out and storage. This feature makes it easy for a single person to pilot the boat down the river through the lock system (4 locks). While I still hold on to the lock line as the boat and water lower. The boat stays in position in the lock the entire time. The joy stick handling of the Pods makes the novice look professional docking the boat.

Please, please, please... more details and pics and video's.....PLEASE🙂
Ok honey.... we're selling the house🙂

I guess all this computerization/electronics is fantastic until there is a glitch somewhere. Is there a backup system? I think most of us have experienced a corroded connection in the marine environment.

My sources say $750k base, which will be mostly loaded as is Ranger custom. One of the few options? A gyro. About $30K for that.

This has been a hard secret to keep for a long time but I think many are well aware that we have been working on a project for a new Ranger tug. Well, the time has come and we didn't hold back. A brand new Ranger Tug 41 has hit the water! The boat is 45' overall with a 14' beam. Twin Volvo IPS 400's standard with a washer / dryer, diesel heating, air conditioning, 9000KW Generator, two staterooms, an abundance of storage and some of the most innovative features you will find! Bruce will be assisting with posting some photos for you to see and more information about the boat will be released very soon. If you have any questions about the boat, I would like to ask that you email me directly and I will be happy to share more information. I can be reached at andrewcustis@rangertugs.com.

Happy boating!
This is one of the best looking floor plans I have seen in sometime. Great job. Do you have any pictures of the hull? Is there a keel to protect the ips drives?
