Im curious if anyone out there has rebuilt the raw water pump bearing housing. To be clear, it's the housing the pulley is mounted on in front of the impeller pump body. I have replaced the impeller for routine maintenance including the little "O" ring and have noticed a drip with some corrosion on the underside of the pulley housing where the bearings are located. I've removed the clip holding the bearings in and had no luck removing the bearings and seals. I do see some brass-looking shaving inside and hear metal scraping lightly. Something is amiss in there. I have the schematic of the entire part in question but am wondering if I should be the one to disassemble the part or if it will need more serious help than I can provide. My parts supplier seems to think all these little parts are available (although she hasn't checked). I'm skeptical that they are but it would be nice if it were a relatively straight forward rebuild. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
