Removing solar panel (CW 30 CB 2016)

I’m thinking about removing the solar panel to make room for a car carrier box (Thule) to store fishing poles. Has anyone done this? Is it as easy as undoing 4 bolts and disconnecting the electrical wires from the box affixed to the panel? Would it be easy to reattach if I needed solar power at some point?

Why choose. We have both a 335 watt solar panel and a Yakima DeepSpace 10 cargo box mounted to our roof rack. Plenty of room for both. And your boat is much wider than our C-28.

I like your setup, but I have the command bridge so have limited space up top.
