Replacement Stern Thruster

I have a 2018 CW 30 CB who's stern thruster has died. Boat is not located near me. The Hull Number is FMLC30171718. I would like to know the model number for a replacement ST? Is it a Lewmar 1400TT 1st generation? I don't know. Does the factory parts dept carry the stern thruster? Any help would be appreciated

Hi there,

I don't have a perfect/exact answer for you as my 2016 C30CB has the Sidepower thrusters, so hoping someone with your specific boat can chime in as well. What I will say, is that the stern thruster is generally ignition protected since it's in the engine compartment, at least the Sidepower one that's on my boat is. Lewmar has a 140TT IP rated thruster, which I'm guessing might be the one in your boat but you should double confirm.

Thanks, still working on what I have exactly. May have the mechanic dig through the stack of manuals on the boat for the definitive answer but I'm hoping someone with the exact boat or a factory rep will chime in.

Have you gone through all the diagnostics for the stern thruster? You know the fuse is good, cables tight, control modules are OK? It's possible you don't need a whole thruster unit.

It’s a Gen 1 Lewmar 140 TT thats no longer supported. Lewmar makes the Gen 2 and thats what CW installs now. The unit is locked up (wont rotate from what I understand)). So….I'm in the hunt for a Gen 1 Thruster
