My wife and I live in Northern California but keep our R31 in Anacortes. This coming summer, we plan to launch Emmy Lou and cruise for June, July, and August. Most years, we bring our Airstream trailer with us so that we can do some land explorations after we cruise. With three dogs, it also makes life much easier than trying to do pet-friendly motels.

The reason for this post is where to put the pickup truck and 30-foot trailer while we're out on the water. The storage facilities I've called are either full up, won't take reservations until two weeks before our launch date, or there isn't much security at their spot.

What we are looking for is secure storage for three months. We don't need electricity, just the site. Of course, we will pay for this. Where we leave the truck and trailer doesn't need to be Anacortes, but something reasonably close. If any Tugnuts have a solution to our problem, please PM me and we'll talk.

Thank you,
Stu Clark

Have you tried North Harbor Diesel & Yacht Service? They have a large yard. Tugnut friends stored their mobile home there for a season. Robyn Bainbridge is manager - (360) 899-9274

They're walking distance from Cap Sante.

Cheers,

Bruce

I concur with Bruce, we’ve stored with them on three separate occasions. Never any surprises, they’ve been easy to work with and I felt there prices were fair.

I concur North Harbor Diesel is a good choice. There is also Summit Park Storage just off Highway 20 before Anacortes. 360-588-8800, they have open storage and covered storage for pretty much anything. I have stored many things over there including a boat, car and large RV. Their prices are fair and everything is behind a locked electric gate with security camera monitoring. Tell them Tony Soans referred you.

Bruce, Jim, and Tony, thank you for your suggestions. I will call North Harbor Diesel in the morning. Summit was full up when I called yesterday.
