Snaps coming off

I have two instances where the male part of the snaps on the Phifertex window coverings separates from the base that is glued to the window itself. (See photos)
What type if adhesive should I use to fix these?

I had the same thing happen. I’m attempting to get some other epoxy/glue issues fixed by Ranger in Des Moines since they were broken prior to delivery.
We did a virtual factory training and I wanted to get to using my boat during Covid!
Both window latches fell off and the door latch was yanked. Must’ve been a poor epoxy weld on the window latches. I attempted with one product and they lasted a few days! Ha! Plastic to glass - I’ll let the pros give it another shot.
I’ll post any info I glean from the repair team.

Last fall I added canvas over the windows above the helm. I order the exact adhesive snaps and used them on the new canvas shades. Never had one of then come loose, but I have spares if they do. I will try to find out the link tomorrow.

Here is a link that offers the snaps. I believe parts @ ranger tug has some in inventory as well. No glue was used on mine and I have had no issues. I have yanked them pretty hard several times. I installed a couple myself. Clean window real good , peel back cover and press.

The stick on snaps have 3m adhesive on the back. If you clean the surface first with alcohol they stick very good. To get them off use a spoon and pry under the adhesive. Or try a hair dryer to soften the glue. I used them to replace the useless Velcro they put on our C24. In Florida that Velcro sticks for exactly two days. The Sailrite SNADS are great. I added metal snaps to the curtain to complete the job How do I add a pic?

Jared at Ranger fixed mine that had popped off and gave me several extras. Alcohol cleaning after pulling off the remnant. Pretty simple fix.

With regards to the window pulls, I would rough up the plastic surface with 40 or 80 grit sandpaper, clean that surface and the glass with acetone, mask off around the pull, apply 5200 and let it cure.

Hi there!

It would be best to replace the snad completely. I usually peel off the adhesive with my fingernail and then clean the residue with Goo-Gone. For prepping the area, 3M recommends cleaning the area with a 50/50 percent isopropyl alcohol and water mixture. Please refrain from using acetone. Acetone leaves a film after drying; will not allow the snads to adhere properly. After installing, I like to put pressure on the snad for about one minute. I abstain from pulling on the snad for at least 24 hours to ensure proper adhesion.

Snads are plastic snaps. Looks like that's what you have in the picture. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors for different applications. See examples here: Sailrite -201 results.
