2016 R23- I installed new batteries and a month later hired a tech to replace the original charger with a Victron IP22. Charging system seems to be working fine but on the solar remote meter display the red error light (top center) is on and the battery 1 icon is empty and flashing. I inspected the solar controller mounted on port side of the of the cave light and on the inside of the the wood panel the light is mounted on. The red wire to the battery 1 at the #2 /+ terminal was not connected and the yellow wire to the battery 1 at the #1 /- terminal was loose and and came off too. The other 2 sets of wires seemed to be connected securely.
The red wire was not positioned far enough in for any of the clamp to secure any of the wire strands to the terminal when the screw was tightened The ends of the stranded wires are perfectly straight like they would be after having the insulated cover stripped off. The yellow wire was positioned Ok but evidently not tightened enough or not bottomed out in the terminal and just some of the strands had been bent so as to show that.
There's no way I can see to fix any of these problems without cutting out enough of the plywood the controller is mounted to and go from there.
I'm counting on Ranger tech support to help me remedy this problem.
Thank You, Paul Solie
