is there any way to shut off the solar panel? other than covering the panel.

thanks
Dave

You might check to see if the solar panel regulator has a cutoff switch (not likely); otherwise, you can simply disconnect the leads at the regulator or batteries. There typically is no dedicated switch on the panel or in the boat.

Hoping to learn something new here -- Dave, why would you need/want to shut it off?

I installed an in line 30amp fuse on the hot leg from the panel. This way when I need to stop power to the regulator I just pull the fuse with no need to disconnect wires.

Good Morning Dave,
The only wat to shut off your solar Panel is to pull the hot leads at the regulator. I am kinda curious as to why you would want to shut down your solar panel

Sometimes you need to reset the controller and to do this you need to disconnect power to it. To reset - Remove both fuses to battery leads, remove power to controller, wait a minute, reinstall power to controller, reinsert each fuse to battery leads.
