Starlink Mini

I didn’t permanently mount mine since I also use it on our RV. However I wanted to be able to power it off of house dc with a nicely located outlet and on/off switch I installed near the rear helm on my 31s. I just run the power cord from the jack up to my roof rack where I have a mount for the mini. The previous owner had dc power already run to my cockpit starboard locker for a refrigerator I removed. Thanks to Glen Wagner for the tip on this approach.

That's a super clean solution. I might copy that. I installed a new Starlink Mini today with a 12V plug that up-converts 12V to 24V and has a female socket for the Starlink cable to plug into. Not as robust as this solution - but for now it works.

We mounted our Starlink Mini on top of our radar dome using more or less the same techniques that Leo outlines in his video.

Similar to Leo, we have found this location to be ideal. No interference from the radar in our internet connection and no interference from the internet connection on our radar. We hardwired a 30v DC power supply and switched it on the panel with a custom rocker switch like Tristen T.

This is awesome. Can you provide more information about how you ran the wiring/cables for the Starlink and the other aftermarket antennae you installed on the mast?

In the R23, we routed the Starlink power cord following the same route as the radar cables, nav light, AIS GPS antenna, and WIFI antenna. It's a pain but welcome to Fluid Motion... Remove teak overhead panel in cabin, remove teak port hole panel on the starboard bulkhead, remove the refrigerator, remove the aft teak panel in the head.

The other antenna you see on our mast are for our Vesper Cortex AIS Hub (Garmin). We figured since we had the boat torn up to route cables, we might as well get all the new cables routed. The taller antenna is GPS, the smaller is the WIFI booster, in addition to these features, the Cortex has a hailer and automatic horn features. You'll notice we mounted the speaker/horn under the radar. We added a remote speaker near the helm as well as the handset for the system. See below.
