This controller is on a 2016 C30. It appears to have died. Does anyone know how to reboot this thing? Most controllers last a long time, up to 15 years. I've tried disconnecting all the wires, waiting about 15 min, then reattaching the battery wires first, then the solar panel wires. It still shows the nasty red light & zero amps. So..is there any hope for this thing or is it just time for a new one? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

While I don't have a specific answer for you, here are a couple of thoughts.
- In case you haven't located the troubleshooting guide, see page 23 of https://www.morningstarcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/operation-manual-sunsaver-duo-en.pdf

- I replaced my SunSaver Duo this past winter and still have the old one - in working condition. If you are possibly interested in a used one, give me a shout.

- Best bet in my opinion however, especially if the magic smoke has been released from your current controller, is to purchase a new MPPT style controller. The SunSaver Duo is a PWM type controller, and they are simply not as efficient at pulling all the power out of a panel as a MPPT type is. Even with your existing panel, you will see an improvement.

It’s not a great controller. Buy the Victron mppt controller. Wire it straight to the house battery only. Use the acrs to charge the other batteries.
