I bet most of us here have all complained about customer service when receiving below par support on a product/service. However instead of focusing on the negative I like to praise companies/people when they exceed my expectations. So what does this have to do with Ranger?

I purchased a Cutwater 30 last year. I have had my typical post purchase challenges but when bringing them up with my dealer I have always received a good result. This has happened in such a way that I felt compelled to write the below thank you.

Long Beach Yacht Sales - http://www.lbys.com/ : This is a family run business. It took me many months to purchase our cutwater and the folks at LBYS had a good sales process. One thing I thought was interesting is the owner came up to me one day and said "When you purchase a boat from us you are also joining our family" and then walked away. It took me a few months to figure out this meant great post sale support. That by far has been the best part about doing business with LBYS. Thank you.

RangerTugs : I'm actually in the middle of a minor warranty issue and their team has been ALL OVER IT. The very best part is the team at Ranger actually picked up the phone and called me. These days I just don't feel that is normal and it was very refreshing to get a call from the factory with a full action plan on a relatively small issue I'm having. Thank you Ranger Tugs.

So that is it. I didn't put in the names of the people I'm talking about but you know who you are. If you have had a great experience I encourage you to tell that person thank you next time you talk to them (or maybe post it below).

Nice idea for a thread. We sold our old boat to Russ Meixner at West Yachts in Anacortes then he brokered the 2010 R-29 that we bought. Good, conscientious service and he's been friendly and helpful with after-purchase questions.

Considering that we didn't buy a new boat from them, the Ranger Tug people have been very helpful. We appreciate being invited to Ranger Tug activities, etc.

Bob and Nita Ostlund in Anacortes are the very best ambassadors that the Tug Nuts could ever wish for. They were very instrumental in making us feel part of the group.

It's good for me to remember to be grateful that we can own, and make use of, our boat.

Happy boating to all of you and congratulations on the purchase of your new Cutwater.
