Do 2016 30 cutwater cb have a transducer to measure the depth of the water if not what do they have?

If you have a depth gauge (and I would bet you do) you have a transducer.

In the C-28, and I think the C-30 as well, the transducer is located in the well with the shower sump pump. In the C-28 it’s under a teak flooring section right in front of the door to the head.

PS: Here’s a thread where they discuss the transponder on a 2018 C-30S where, per FM staff, access is in the v-berth on the floor next to the door to the head. Your C-30CB could be different.

2016 c30 would have had an "in-hull" transducer mounted just forward of the D6 engine on the starboard side of it, nearly inaccessible being so far down. The typical place for a replacement to be mounted is under the outboard floor board in the cave roughly a foot in front of the hump from the hull step.

A traditional through hull can usually be mounted under the floor by the sump box, but the c30 has a fiberglass liner in that compartment which creates an air gap between it and the hull preventing mounting an "in-hull" in that location.

In our 2015 R31-CB it is located on the port side of the stern (by the bilge), tucked away. Ours stopped working an once we found it, we noticed the transducer was not on a base (replaced the base). Transducer screws into base (1/4 turn) and the base needs to be filled with anti-freeze. Base needs to be epoxied to the floor.
