When I was prepping the underwater metal parts for primer and bottom paint. I noticed that the trim tabs were mounted off the bottom more then I have seen before. I ran a straight edge off the bottom of the boat, measured up to the bottom of the trim tab ( dimension is 5/8" ). I walked around the building and checked other boats and found most to be mounted no more then a 1/4" . I then went on Bennets web site and looked at installation guidelines .Their installation said 1/4" . Is there a reason why Cutwater mounts the trim tabs 5/8 " above the bottom ? I could use a little more trim tab travel on this boat. I'm sure there is a reason for the higher mounting just curious why .
