We have had our 2014 Cutwater 26 for a year so I am starting the commissioning maintenance and want to replace the impeller. My initial survey leads me to believe that I need to remove the forward bilge pump to get the forward engine belt guard out. So a couple of questions:

1) Does the forward bilge pump need to be removed to get the belt guard out?

2) Has anyone removed the bottom lip of the belt guard so the bilge pump does not have to be removed?

3) Since it is impossible to see, what type/size are the three screws that on the raw water pump?

Thanks

I was hoping someone would answer this one. We took delivery of our 26 Cutwater last month and while I have been enjoying boating I have also been going over the boat to be familiar with all the systems and how to get at them ,Thrusters, fresh water pump , shower sump , water strainers , rudder log , hot water tank , fill fittings and hoses, water tank, fuses DC and AC breakers , wiring , fuel tank fittings , with the removal of a few interior panels or cockpit seat and liner, most everything is accessible. When it comes to the D3 Volvo not so much. I emailed Cutwater asking for advise and illustrations on panel removal and step removal to get to the Starboard side of the engine , Raw water pump , air filter, crankcase vent filter, motor mount and other components . I know its new and I shouldn't have to worry about it yet, but its also a boat and things happen and knowing how to quickly get at this would be a plus in a emergency . Mostly the raw water pump. Any experienced 26 Cutwater owners that could shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Also AC usage with Maine air/heat , electric stove, Convection oven, hot water heater , battery charger, and outlets with a single 30 amp service. If we cook we have to shut off the heat , hot water and battery chargers because the 30 amp main breaker under the convection oven in the bottom cabinet flips off with stove usage . Is this a common problem ? If so I may install another 30 amp outlet and breaker just for the air unit .
