We recently had the city water connector fail on our R25, and after taking a few minutes to think about the connector it became somewhat clear as to what may have created the issue. The Jabsco city water connector used on our boat is not only a connection point but also a pressure reducer and I also have a pressure reducer at the dockside water tap. However, what I found was the Jabsco hose connector is nothing more than a press fit and if the hose does not have some free play to compensate for natural rocking motion of the boat at dock it (metal hose connector) works itself to a point where it will pop out. When I replaced the city water connector used a 90 degree elbow on backside (internal to boat) and dual hose clamps instead of current 1. Plus I make sure there is sufficient free play in hose at external connection.
