My Webasto heater is blowing cold air. The unit is on and the pump is active but the unit will not heat. What could the problem be? Glo plug or? Thermostat "green indicator" is on by pulses. Thoughts?

When we first were using our heater we had to cycle it on and off 4 or 5 times to get it to work. This advice came from the dealer and it did eventually work. This included turning of the unit, turning off the main battey switch and then turning it on again. This may be worth a try.

It’s possible you’ve lost prime. You’ll hear the pump and feel air flow through the vents, but after 2 minutes it shuts down and gives an error code. When this occurred on ours recently it was restored by following these steps:

With the heater ON remove and replace the fuse. The fan comes on and you’ll hear the pump. If prime is restored heat will follow soon. If not it will shut down again. Repeat the process. I pulled and replace our fuse 3 times to restore prime. Works fine now.

Cheers,

Bruce

Thanks Bruce,

Just to clarify, you are referring to the fuse located in the head behind the mirror?

The temperature you set on the heater may be less than the actual temperature. When that happens, all you get is the fan. Make sure the set temperature is higher than actual.

My fuse block is in a different location. Do you have a fuse block diagram? If not, just give the factory a call and ask where to find it.

Bruce

Thanks for the reply Bruce. I do have the location of the fuse block for the Webasto. I'll try the routine you suggested.

Thanks Hamster! I did set the temperature to its highest setting and same result, cold air. I'm going to cycle the system off and if that doesn't work I'll try the routine Bruce mentioned in his post. Thanks!

Although this is not an answer for your issue..... it's good practice to cycle the Webasto heater once every 30 days. This will ensure the heater is not left 'idle' 'unused' for overly extended time.
