Not sure what you mean by “Home Internet option”
@BOSCBIJI. However, I did want to give a pro-tip: Like
@Submariner said, the Peplink is a good option because it allows you to present a consistent WiFi network to the boat, and change the uplink at will from Starlink to Cellular, or even Marina WiFi without having to change anything on the boat. Starlink isn’t cheap, so being able to easily switch to something else is pretty handy.
However, if you do that, there is a great option for the cellular. Google has a cellular service called Google Fi (fi.google.com). They are an MVNO (think reseller of bandwidth) for T-Mobile, so it is actually the T-Mobile network you’d be using. However, with Google Fi, you get Data Only SIMs for free (
https://support.google.com/fi/answer/6330195?hl=en). The data you use on them counts against the data on your phone line, but there is no additional cost, and the data can be unlimited. You can get several of them, so you can get one to put in a Peplink router, and one for an iPad, for instance. Free is a lot cheaper than what the other carriers charge. Google Fi also gives you unlimited international data, including on the data only SIMs, so you can use it in Canada, or the Bahamas, or wherever your Tug takes you.
