CO monitor alarm is super sensitive—help!

The CO monitor alarm in my boat seems overly sensitive. It sounds when I am taking fuel and the Yamaha F300 engine has been off for a minute or two. In addition the alarm sounds (loud and distractingly obnoxious) when the boat is leaving the dock or taxiing slowly around the harbor—even with...

    2023 R27 300HP outboard Steering

My 2023 R27 Steering slip a couple of times when turning either direction. I tried to locate my hydraulic fluid reservoir behind steering helm and under steering helm. Please pass on the location. I need to check the fluid level to eliminate why the steering slips while turning outboard.

    Attaching the Bimini 2023 R27

I have the Bimini for the aft cockpit off for repair. Do you have any tips for reinstalling it easily (i.e. without trying to stretch it manually)? There appear to be small screws on some of frame parts. Are these to adjust tension in the frame? If so which ones do I adjust? Thanks in advance.

    Starboard port Trim

The trim around my new to me 2024 R27OB is missing. (See attached) Can you tell me where I can find a replacement? It looks like it’s held in place by four screws. Is it also glued? Bonus points if you can tell me what kind of screws I need. Thanks! John

    r27 ob westerbeke belts

I need to change the belts on my R27 ob westerbeke 3.5. Has anyone managed to change them without having to raise the westerbeke off the mounting deck ? Just from routine tensioning it appears that there's not enough working space to get the belts in, but looking for experiences that might...

    House Battery Amp Hours

My Victron battery monitor does not show 100% even when the shore power cable is plugged in and the solar panel is working. It tends to show 98.6% to 99.8% but never 100%. I'd like to check the settings on my Victron app to configure appropriately. Our 2024 R-27 has two Lithium batteries in...

    Fuel Vent Line ID

I am considering adding an H2Out fuel vent line filter and want to confirm the vent line ID (Interior Diameter) for the R-27 Outboard, 2024 model year. Is it 5/8" ID? Also, do you have an opinion about the usefulness of an H2Out filter? I had one on my prior boat with a Yanmar diesel and...

R27OB LE 2024 Main and Engine Batteries dead

I managed to discharge both my main and engine batteries when I left both MAIN and PARALLEL switches ON, when on Shore Power, but didn't realize my Shore Power plug had become unplugged for an extended period. Both Main and Engine battery banks are too low to allow re-charging now that I've...

    Bottom Paint

I recently bought a 2 year old R27OB and joined this group. Firstly thank you for the tug nuts hat! That was a pleasant surprise. As a new owner I’m probably going to have a lot of questions. Let’s start with this one. When I bought the boat it had bottom paint. I suspect that the paint...

HIN: FMLT2720G021 RANGER Tug, 2021 R-27 Two questions please. 1. If the electrical system is plugged into shore power and the battery charger switch is turned on but the bow thruster selector switch is not on, will the bow thruster battery be charged by the shore power? Same question for...

    Winter storage questions

    1. Is it ok to store my 2025 R-27OB on the hard without a power connection here in the San Juan Islands? The yard disconnects the batteries for the winter leaving them in place and I'm just not sure if that is going to damage any of my batteries. 2. They also offer shrink wrapping. Given no...

Hydraulic Steering Problem on new 27OB

I took delivery on a new 2025 RT27OB this spring and the Ultraflex hydraulic steering feels off. No air in lines detected. Auto-pilot steering works great. No kinks in lines. Yamaha 300 moves freely. Steers as expected, without binding, at dock. Underway, however: 1. Requires muscle to turn...
