2010 PNW Rendezvous - Sep 10-12, 2010

Put the Lucky Fin on the list for 2010. I would hate to miss one of these get togethers.

I post this for two reasons: one to bring this thread back to the top and two to ask David on behalf of my Admiral, What was the web site for the lamps? This note from her was sitting on the computor this morning. Pretty strong hint. 😉

Darrell,
I already put you on the list for 2010 as I knew you and the Admiral would not miss out on this.

As for the lamps, I trust that you are speaking of the one that we had mounted on the dinette and cave lid. If so, we purchased these at Ikea. I went on line to get you the item numbers however, they were not available. If you would like, I can swing by Ikea this evening and pick a couple up and mail them to you. Cost of the lamps is $5.00, the shade was around $7.00, and $4.00 for the fluorescent bulb.

Shipping will be somewhere around $15.00. Let me know if you would like for me to do this for the Admiral.

Good morning Dave & Maureen,

I think she is talking about the little table lamps. When she gets up, I'll find out. Is that the ones you referred to?
If those are the ones, Yes, she and I would appreciate you picking them up for us. Just let us know what $ to send you.

Darrel

Darrell,
Those were the ones. I will pick you up a set and let you know what the total cost is. Send me a PM with your home address and I will get them sent out tomorrow.

We're hoping to attend the 2010 rendezvous. Just purchased a R21ec. Looking forward to many hours of boating.
Jayne and Stan

Jane and Stan...
Welcome to the craziness! Look forward to seeing you in September. Trying to organize an unoffical Meetup in Bell Harbor in March. If interested please let me know.

Dave and friends...I will be talking with Bell Harbor this week and placing the deposit...
However, before that happens, I had 1 final thought...What about Blake Island???? We can get all kinds of boats on the dock and if wanted, there is now power. It would be a fun non marina get together.

Thoughts?

Best, Drew

Add the Laurie Ann to the list of boats coming to the 2010 Rendezvous. We too, wouldn't miss this fabulous opportunity to join the Ranger Tug family reunion!

Laurie

Jane and Stan, welcome! You are added to the list for the 2010 Rendezvous.

Drew, Blake Island sounds great to Maureen and I if you think that we can get all the boats in. It is my understanding they take no reservations.

John and Laurie, sorry, I already added you to the list. It is mandatory that you attend!

With Stan and Jayne we are already up to 14 vessels for 2010!

Dave,
Question: Do we contact the Bremerton Marina to reserve a slip? We are new to Ranger Tug gatherings. Just purchased a R21-EC. Any advice is appreciated.
Jayne

Blake Island is wonderful, but like Dave said, you can't make reservations. Strictly first come first served. It could be tough, even on a weekend in March, if we get a good turn out.

Another option to add to the list is Dock Street Marina on the Thea Foss Waterway in Tacoma. We were just down there and it's an excellent marina in a great spot, right in front of the Museum of Glass and Chihuly's Glass Bridge to the Washington Museum of History and Pacific Avenue. Nice restaurant with a great happy hour. I met the general manager and he offered a 25% discount.

Oh, the possibilities.

Cheers

Jayne and all others,
I have reserved 30 slips at this time for next years rendezvous. My hope is that I will have to bump that to 50 by the time September 10th arrives. As people commit, I place them on the list. All that will be required from each vessel is to take care of the payment of their moorage upon arrival. Your reservations are made.

Again to save anyone time of having to go back through all of the threads, the dates for the 2010 Rendezvous is September 10, 11, and 12 at the Bremerton City Marina.

Myself and my wife along with Bruce and Vicki of Moondance and with the help of Jeff Messmer of Ranger Tugs are coordinating the event for next year. We are looking at additional activities and "fun" that can be had. Come late July or early August we will post the "agenda" for the rendezvous. Please remember, nobody has to attend any of the activities if they should choose not too. This is a fun event meant to bring those of us who have two common interests, being on the water and owning a Ranger Tug, together.

At this years event we made what I would call many great friends who's friendship will span a lifetime! I wish that I could have gotten to know everyone as well as I met a few, but as you all know, there is no rest for the wicked and I was very busy (not complaining though, loved every minute of it).

I appreciate all of the thanks and expressions of gratitude that I received for getting this thing put together but I do have to say, I would not have done it if I had not wanted too. After that weekend, it proved that the work was more than worth it. That is why I have no hesitation in putting together the 2010 event!

Let's all show Bremerton what it is like to have one heck of a rendezvous in 2010! Talk to everyone you know that has a Ranger Tug and get them involved. The goal is 50 but can we get to 75?!? 100? (Jeff are there that many boats on the west coast?)

Thank you again to all of the great people of the PNW!

I like Bruce's idea here on the Happy Hour! Oh wait a minute we are talking about a cruise aren't we......... oh well what is a cruise but a Happy Day!

Just to be clear, David, the discount is on the marina, not the happy hour. But, the happy hour at Woody's is hard to beat!

Darn! I thought we were going to get 25% off of the drinks. Oh well, we can use the money we save on the moorage to buy drinks.....

Wow! I cannot believe that we already have 17 vessels that are planning to attend the 2010 PNW Rendezvous in Bremerton! I would also assume that there will also be at least three factory boats in attendance pushing the total to 20 at this time! It was mid August last year before we even started getting close to approaching this number! We are well on our way of hitting the goal of 50 vessels! The following folks have already said they are planning to attend:

1. David and Maureen, Solitude, R-25
2. Darrell and Miss Dee, Lucky Fin, R-25
3. Drew and Michelle, R-Dragon, R-25
4. John, Red Ranger, R-21
5. Steve and Tina, Christina Bee, R-25
6. Janeane and Lyman, Zuma, R-29
7. Bob and Nita, Nellie Too, R-29
8. Bruce and Vicki, Moondance, R-25
9. Bill, Odd Duck, R-25
10. Barry and Gil, Laxey-Isle of Man, R-25
11. Gary and Rosalie, Harbor Ranger, R-25
12. Terry, Tortugatoo, R-21
13. John and Laurie Gray, Laurie Ann, R-25
14. Jayne and Stan, Sea Spirit II, R-21
15. Bruce and Debbie, Red Current, R-21
16. John the Portugeezer, Boat name TBA, R-21
17. Pete, Sporty II, R-29
18 Jeff Messmer and Family, Factory R-29
19. Andrew Custis, Factory R-25
20. Jim and Peggy, Factory R-?

The R-21's are appearing to making a strong showing in 2010! Currently five of the attendees are R-21's!

It is with great sadness that Maureen and I must report we will not be attending the "Halfway There" cruise in March as well as the 2010 Rendezvous in our beloved Solitude. As of today Solitude is no longer "Our Boat". She was a great boat that served us well but it is time to move on.

In November, we take delivery of our new R-29, "Karma"! It was not an easy decision to make. The R-25 is a great boat. However as we look forward to retirement and spending a considerable amount of time on board, we wanted the additional space.

The good news is, Karma will be berthed at Port Orchard Marina so we will be able to visit the PNW every month! We will be attending both the "Halfway There" cruise as well as the Rendezvous in Karma.

The other thing that truly influenced this decision were the many great people we met at the rendezvous. While it is nice to be able to take Solitude out to Lake Mead and Mohave, you do not meet the type of people we met in Bremerton. We hope that on the weekends while on Karma, we can meet up with many of you and enjoy the good times. We plan to cruise at least two weekends per month on Karma as well as I will use her as my home away from home while in the PNW working.

Karma will be "Mako Yellow" with a white house and water line. (Mako Yellow is a very pale buttery yellow that is used by Mako Boats as well as Krogen)

1. David and Maureen, Karma, R-29
2. Darrell and Miss Dee, Lucky Fin, R-25
3. Drew and Michelle, R-Dragon, R-25
4. John, Red Ranger, R-21
5. Steve and Tina, Christina Bee, R-25
6. Janeane and Lyman, Zuma, R-29
7. Bob and Nita, Nellie Too, R-29
8. Bruce and Vicki, Moondance, R-25
9. Bill, Odd Duck, R-25
10. Barry and Gil, Laxey-Isle of Man, R-25
11. Gary and Rosalie, Harbor Ranger, R-25
12. Terry, Tortugatoo, R-21
13. John and Laurie Gray, Laurie Ann, R-25
14. Jayne and Stan, Sea Spirit II, R-21
15. Bruce and Debbie, Red Current, R-21
16. John the Portugeezer, Boat name TBA, R-21
17. Pete, Sporty II, R-29
18 Jeff Messmer and Family, Factory R-29
19. Andrew Custis, Factory R-25
20. Jim and Peggy, Factory R-?

Outstanding! We look forward to sharing a great many experiences with you, Maureen, and Karma (I'm a firm believer) up here in the glorious waters of the upper left hand corner.

Cheers

How exciting for you two! The Laurie Ann would love to meet up with you on your cruising weekends. Welcome to the best cruising waters around!
Laurie

WooHoo! This is great news!! Congratulaltions.

Please reserve a 2010 rendezvous spot for Blessings (Fernie and Sunny Martinez). We look forward to seeing everyone again! We live in Everett, and will be happy to help in any-many ways with the prep work for next year! We add our thanks to all who gave so generously of themselves and their treasures for the Ranger Pilot-eers this year. Fernie and Sunny
