Trying to hit 100 vessels here for the Rendezvous!!!! If you haven't signed up and are planning on attending, please do so ASAP. This years event will take much more planning with the number of boats that are already signed up.

Poppy's Legacy has now joined in with the group for the 2010 Rendezvous! With the addition of their vessel we are now up to 51! Just over halfway to our goal of 100!

We have "renamed" the event to the "Ranger Tug Fest 2010".

As the number of vessels grow, we are going to have to do a considerable more amount of planning. Mainly in the area of getting all vessels secured in the same area of the marina. The marina has assured us that they will get every last boat in that shows up, we are just going to have to assign slips to the R-29's. This will insure that we maximize on space. Also we will ask that you not lower your dinghy from the swim platform until we have secured a vessel behind you. (this would be those of you tied on the break water).

As you approach the marina, we will ask that you call in on Channel 71 hailing "Karma". We may ask that you stand off temporarily as we assist in securing another vessel. Once you are in and secure, you will need to proceed to the "tent" to sign in with Maureen and Laurie. At that time, they will present you with your name tags and welcome gift. It is important that we have everyone's name on your vessel so we can make sure we have a name tag for everyone.

The marina is going to supply us with 50 amp splitters so everyone that wants electric can get electric.

Again, the R-29's will be assigned slips while the R-25's and R-21's will secure to the break water wall as they come in. If you or someone has a disability that would make it easier on you to be close to the tent, please send me a PM and we will secure you a location next to or as close to the tent as possible.

Thanks to everyone for making this such a great event!!!!

Sorry to say TORTUGATOO and crew will not be attending the Rendezvous. Happy to announce we've purchased a small piece of "Old Florida" in the form of an old fishing shack on the Weeki Wachee River, and will have moorage for any cruising Tuggers in need of a protected place to hide out for a time. Party hardy, our thoughts are with you this Sept.

Kay and Terry,
Sorry to hear you will not be able to attend "Ranger Tug Fest 2010" in Bremerton. Good luck with your fishing shack..... sounds great!

Can you believe it???? We are only two months from Ranger Tug Fest 2010 in Bremerton! My how time flies when you have a Ranger Tug! Maureen and I are currently sitting in our home in Henderson Nevada (not sure why). The topic invariably turns to Ranger Tug Fest.

We currently have 52 boats signed up along with three people coming via land yacht (car). We still have two more rooms held at the Hampton Inn right at the foot of the docks at Bremerton. Anyone else considering coming by land yacht or just want the comforts of a nice hotel room, please let me know ASAP and I will put your name on one of the remaining rooms.

Our goal is 75 boats this year! All those that are just considering it, all I can say is; JUST DO IT! We had a great time last year and this year will be even better!

Let's go! Chris Craft had almost 100 cranky old owners at Port Orchard last week! We can certainly get that many fun loving Ranger Tug owners to come to Bremerton!

If you have not signed up yet, send me a PM and I will get you on the list!

Those of you that are on the fence (dock) considering purchasing a Ranger Tug, the factory will have representation of all boats at Ranger Tug Fest. It will also give you the chance to talk to current owners of Ranger Tugs. You will clearly see that you are not buying a boat, "You are buying a lifestyle". (This according to Bruce Moore of Moondance...) You too are invited to all of the festivities!

We are tug #29 on your list and find that we will not be able to attend the event after all. Too many commitments. We were looking forward to being a part of the group and meeting some of the other folks that are in the Ranger Tug fleet but I guess it will need to wait until next year.
John and Marie Turner

John,
Sorry to hear that you are not going to be able to attend.

Hmmmm -- just where will all those 54 Ranger Tugs tie up in Bremerton. Last year when I attended there was little space left after some 30 tugs were tied up.

Don't worry Barry, we saved you a spot! Bremerton Marina has assured us that they will make room for EVERYONE that attends. This year however, we will assigns slips to the R-29's thus allowing for more R-25's on the breakwater. Along with that, the marina is providing us with 50 amp power splitters thus allowing us to tighten up the distance between vessels on the breakwater. We will also ask that dinghy's not be lowered and tied behind vessels. The factory boats will be on the east side of the main walk way. This will create a special "sales" area for the Ranger Tugs folks.

We will ask that all vessels call in on channel 71 prior to entering the marina. R-25's will be directed to the breakwaters while the R-29's and R-27's will be directed to the slips. R-21's will also be tied up in the slips with the larger boats.

As you can see, the planning for this years event has taken much more consideration and time. Maureen and I don't mind though. It actually gives us a break from our hectic everyday work lifes!!!!

Please lookout for additional updates as we get closer to the date!

Dear Maureen and David,

My wife Cheryll and I would like to join your gathering in Bremerton. We're currently shopping for an R-25. That is, of course, unless Jeff Messmer can talk us into an R-27 during our factory tour on the previous Tuesday. We're coming from Michigan and will be staying on my brother's CS-36 sailboat Kyrie. It'll be docked in slip P40. We look forward to meeting all of the "Tugnutters" and officially joining your most friendly group very soon.

Thank you for all of your work in organizing the gathering. 😛

Rick and Cheryll,
Welcome! I have added you to the list! I would have to say, if you are even slightly considering the R-27, that is the one I would go with. Face it, if you go with the R-25 today, tomorrow you will be saying, "We should have got the R-27". Anyway, glad to have you!

We intended to be with you last year after completing the Inside Passage (Olympia-Skagway) but the schedule didn't work out. And this year we plan to be on Lake Powell, Sept. 10-12, thinking of you and enjoying ourselves. Any others out there planning to be on Lake Powell?

We'll be with you in spirit!

Hi Barry - I am looking through the various postings, trying to find the detail for the weekend. Specifically when will folks plan to arrive in Bremerton. On Friday Sept 10th? and approx what time would most begin to arrive?
Thx!
